Contessa 32 Weekend

PSC hosted the Contessa 32 fleet for the first event of their 2017 race series over the weekend of 13/14 May.  The club ran two races on the Saturday, provided a class meal in the JA Room on Saturday evening and a further race on Sunday.

It was an exceptionally successful weekend; the weather was kind, the racing competitive and fun, and the food and hospitality that PSC members provided on Saturday evening was exceptional.

A picture gallery will be posted soon!

The following email from one of the competitors sums up the Contessa sailors view of the event …..

“Aided in no small measure by the wonderful weather, the view from Muscadet was that this weekend was about as near Inshore Series perfection as is possible.

We wanted to pass on our thoughts though that PSC really did go the extra mile to make us all feel especially welcome at their club.

You really felt they wanted to have us there, nice touches like;

The class flag flying outside

The colour co-ordinated flowers/napkins

Their rib that ferried crew out to and back from Coh Karek

Finishing the Sunday race 3/4 way back to Cowes which was helpful for the majority of the fleet (Lymington clubs take note!)

Piles and piles of excellent food.

All in all, we thought it was splendid and wanted to share our thoughts in the event either of you pass feedback on such arrangements to the Club.”

 Rally to Northney, Saturday 4th June

This date has changed from the original date advertised. Sail to the upper reaches of beautiful Chichester Harbour and visit Northney, reachable at almost all states of the tide. Apart from good company there is space for barbecues, football and great showers.

 Please contact Dave Clark.

 Rally to Bembridge, Saturday 18th June

This is a rally with a difference to Bembridge with the Victory Class who will be holding a passage race. The marina are putting on a jazz band from 17.30 and we are proposing to eat with the Victory Class at Bembridge SC (not Brading Haven YC) for a change. Menus will be circulated when available. The Rally Master is also hoping that you might consider offering a berth to a tired, grubby and possibly drunk Victory Sailor for the night. It would help if you could let Peter Guy know your intentions well in advance, so that the Victory Class know how many berths are available and we can book the meal. Please put your name on the list in the bar or let Peter Guy know on This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .
